About Us

About Us

Welcome to Project Sierra. We are an organization of music educators who reach out to isolated copper mining towns in Arizona and teach music to children with a passion for the arts. Our mission is to provide free music education to residents who experience socioeconomic challenges. We focus on moving students rapidly into ensemble playing to maximize their experience in music in order to find new avenues to use and hone their skills. We teach music through note reading and by ear to help students learn quicker through practical training and provide them opportunities to perform in concerts regularly.

Our music education doesn’t just end there. We also provide community benefits through job creation, more career opportunities for students, and overall economic growth for the state. We seek to build the music industry from the ground up by planting the seeds today so they can serve as boons tomorrow.
